ROPE * RANCH * STOCK HORSE * APHA * COMPETITVE TRAIL * EXTREME COWBOY RACES

Reba is fit, sound, tuned up, and ready to go to work for you. She is finishing a 90 day tune up here for both arena work and ranch work.

She has a nice cow horse handle, is friendly and good minded, has a big heart, great work ethic, is very talented with more than plenty of speed.

She is an excellent rope prospect. Between Jason and her owners, she has lots of pasture/branding rope experience & has been started on the sled. She is set up perfectly for someone to put their own buttons on and season.

She is solid on reining basics and has loads of eye appeal. With more training and show seasoning, she will go far in SHTX/NRVHA/APHA ranch horse or stock horse events. Reba is a very pretty mover, has nice circles, starting to have a nice stop, & turn around & Jason is happy with her flying lead changes. It would not take long to get her seasoned & ready for all the events.

UPDATE: EXTREME COWGIRL CHALLENGE - Reba was loaned out to so she could compete on a team that lost a rider last minute.

This was Reba’s very 1st show EVER, first time hearing an announcer, seeing banners, loads of commotion and all the excitement. First time being jump rode, first full reining pattern, first time out of a cutting herd, first trail course (first time with some of those obstacles). You get the picture.

Honestly, it was set up to be a complete disaster, but Jason had faith in her mind and abilities. Reba handled it all like a champ. She did what she was asked, tried hard, kept her head, and completed all 3 prelim events (Reining, Cutting, Extreme Trail) successfully despite being green.

To us, this is a true testament to her quality and the time, work, and training that Jason has put into her.

All of working life has been out on the ranch so she is great outside and knows an honest day’s work. She confidently crosses water, rocks, downed trees etc. with no issue. She’d make a great competitive trail horse or extreme cowboy races horse.

This mare is pretty with nice conformation, good feet, and lots of mane & tail.

Stands 14.3h.

Reba is owned by a training customer. Due to knee replacement, she won’t be riding for a while and didn’t want this nice mare to go to waste.

Training History: Reba came to us with a 90 day start and was in training with PQH for 4 months in the Spring/Summer of 2023 to put a handle on her and get her started on cattle for ranching. She has been back for 70 days (so far) for a tune up and consignment. We would be happy to keep her in training for her new owner if that is helpful.

She’d make a great APHA broodmare for that type of program.
